Family reunion to welcome the New Year!
The CCA 2025 Lunar New Year Buffet Dinner was held on 4 February from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Chinese Association. This year, we are pleased to welcome new members to join, injecting new vitality into the association.
At the beginning of the dinner, the two emcees on behalf of the association greeted everyone and sent their most sincere wishes: "I wish you all a happy new year!" In good shape! Career progress! Rewarding! Congratulations! ”
Wonderful programs show the charm of Chinese culture
The students of CCA Chinese School performed and brought a variety of performances to the dinner: 🎤 Chinese Department - singing "Congratulations and Congratulations" in unison, beaming; 🎤 Annan - solo "New Year Ballad", melodious singing and sincere emotions; 🎤 Cantonese Department - Sing "Bless You" to convey good wishes; 🎹 Piano solo - Bella played "A Laugh in the Sea", which was exciting; Scarlet played "Sword Like a Dream", melodious and tactful.
Under the careful guidance of teachers and parents, almost all the students who performed were dressed in red, creating a strong festive atmosphere and adding a warm and festive colour to the dinner.
Lion dance to cheer for the New Year
The lion dance team from Ipswich made a stunning appearance, and the wonderful lion dance performance symbolized good luck, prosperity and financial resources, bringing a visual and cultural feast to the audience.
The food is fragrant and full of surprises
The Executive Committee of the Association has prepared a sumptuous feast of food and arranged an exciting lucky draw to bring you good luck for the New Year: 🏆 three lucky winners won £300, £500 and £1000 cash prizes respectively.
In addition, a special auction of authentic handwritten "New Year's Couplets" was held at the dinner, and all proceeds were donated to CCA Chinese School to contribute to the inheritance and development of Chinese culture.

The second term of the Colchester Chinese Association Adult Mandarin Class (2024-2025) will commence on January 5, 2025.
Teacher: Ms Lu
Eligibility: Open to anyone aged 17 or above.
Class Schedule: Sundays, 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Location: CCA (Colchester Chinese Association).
Fees: Students are required to prepay the tuition fee at the time of registration.
The second term includes 11 lessons with a total fee of £110.

Dear Parents of CCA Chinese School,
We hope this message finds you well and warm as we approach the holiday season.
The first term of the 2024/25 academic year at CCA Chinese School has come to a successful close,
marked by the wonderful celebration of our Christmas Party on December 15th. We would like to
inform you that the school will be on holiday for two weeks, from 21 December to 28 December.
The new term will commence on 4 January 2025, and we are now accepting registrations for the
upcoming term.
The tuition fee for the second term will remain at £70. We are pleased to offer a sibling discount:
£5 for the second child, £10 for the third, and so on. Please complete your child’s registration by
making payment via online banking by 4 January 2025.
